Bodybuilding Tip - Do Cardio After Bodybuilding

If you are a bodybuilder who wants a bodybuilding tip for burning the maximum amount of fat,  then do your cardiovascular training immediately following your high intensity weightlifting sessions. Don’t make the mistake of doing cardio prior to bodybuilding. An easy warm up is fine, but full fledged cardio is a no no.

The reasons it is important to do cardio after bodybuilding sessions is to preserve your sugar and glycogen levels in order to maximize your intensity levels. Doing cardio prior to strength training will only zap your energy levels during your bodybuilding workout. This, in turn, will not enable you to train at maximum intensity which is required for muscle growth.

Another reason to do cardiovascular exercise after bodybuilding is to rely on the fatty acids for fuel while training aerobically. Since the bodybuilding workout depleted your sugar and glycogen reserves, let the fatty acids be consumed as the cardiovascular fuel instead of the limited amount of glucose needed to strength train effectively.
